The wild and windy conditions on the day dictated which half of the pitch saw the most action in a blustery encounter in Unst.

Celtic were the team who made the most of the wind advantage and punished an Unst side who failed to find the back of the net until late on.

Unst played with the conditions in the first half though never capitalised and sent several chances wide of the target and over the bar. A lack of composure in the final third and some snatched chances didn’t test the Celtic keeper enough when the conditions should have made the difference.

Celtic were then the team who broke the deadlock, with indecision in the Unst box resulting in Justin Watson firing home from close range.

Celtic came out in the second half and immediately began to take control of the game. A long punt up-field was pounced on by Jordan Webb who stroked the ball home with a neat finish. Celtic then seemed to score with each foray in the opposition’s half with Webb scoring again from a free kick and then a corner.

Webb was on target twice more, with impressive curling finishes making the most of the conditions and the game was won. Unst did get a consolation goal near the end when young trialist Paul Henderson slotted home a free kick from just outside the area.
